The IGERT International Development and Globalization Program Recruitment and Application
Applications to the IGERT International Development and Globalization Program (IGERT IDG) will be reviewed by a faculty committee representing all participating departments and programs, with final approval given by the IGERT - IDG Program Director.
Incoming Columbia University Students
Students applying to the IGERT IDG Program must first be accepted for doctoral study by one of the participating graduate departments or programs. Students may be considered for the IGERT IDG Program either at the point of admission to Columbia University or in their first or second years of graduate study.
Currently Enrolled Columbia University Ph.D. Students
Students already enrolled in a Ph.D. program at Columbia University can apply to the IGERT IGD Program directly by submitting an application. The application should include an explanation of why the student is interested in the program, a proposed course of study, and proposed areas of research. A letter of recommendation from a Columbia University professor is required.
